- June 11th Paving Update
The contractor Mead Bros. will be performing final paving on East Chestnut, North Summit, Cherry Street, South Clark, East Walnut, and South Main Street on Tuesday June 15th.
- May 27th Update
The contractor has completed all pipe and structure installation. They will be removing pavement along Chestnut St and Walnut St between Main St and Clark St. The plan is to prepare these roads for paving on Thursday June 3rd and Friday June 4th, weather and other factors permitting. After final paving for these roads are complete the contractor will continue with grading, restoration, and hydroseeding in various areas over the course of the next few weeks. Here are some progress photos of their pavement removals from the last few days.
- May 13th Update
The contractor has been working diligently at Clark and Walnut and at Clark and Chestnut installing storm pipe and structures underneath the roadways and within the right-of-way. As they complete the work in this area, they will begin to work on N Summit St at the Cherry St intersection. There may be temporary road closures in that area beginning the week of May 17th. Here are some photos of their current work.
- April 29th Temporary Water Shut Off
Water service will be temporarily shut off for residents along E. Walnut Street between S. Main Street and S. Clark Street on Thursday April 29th. The shut off will begin around 8:00 am and will continue until at least 2:00 pm that day, weather and other factors permitting. This is to allow the contractor to lower the water main for the construction of the storm sewer. Thank you for you understanding. See below for location of the area impacted by the water shut off.
- April 19th Update
The contractor has begun working at the Clark and Chestnut intersection heading West and at the Clark and Walnut intersection heading East. They will continue working at both intersections throughout the week as they make progress installing storm sewer pipe. Here are a few photos of the work they have done over the last week.
- Construction to Begin March 29th
Construction is expected to pick up again starting on Monday March 29th to complete the Webberville consolidated drain project. The contractor will begin construction activities at Clark and Walnut streets. We will continue bringing updates to you as the contractor’s work continues throughout the construction season.
- November 18th Update
The contractor completed paving last week Thursday November 12th. They will continue to work on grading and restoration in various areas around the village before they wrap up for the year. They are expected to be finished with their work this week and will pick up in the spring next year to complete the project. Final completion for the project is expected in June 2021.
